On behalf of Safe Electric I would like to wish the Lighting Association of Ireland the very best in its endeavours and, aims and objectives, in promoting best practices in the important energy policy areas of lighting design, application and installation. The new Association’s formation comes as modern and innovative lighting designs, technologies, controls and communication protocols are playing a growing part in meeting Ireland’s challenging energy efficiency targets set by Government and EU Directives.
As the newly established body representing the lighting sector, the Association is to be commended for engaging with the widest possible range of stakeholders from manufacturers and manufacturers’ agents to consultants, specifiers, architects, lighting designers, wholesalers, contractors, government bodies and regulatory agencies. I believe that it is through this proactive engagement and collaboration across the lighting industry that national policy objectives of energy efficiency, standards, quality, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance can best be delivered, consistently and with impact.
I look forward to working with the Lighting Association of Ireland and supporting its programmes of promotion, training and education in meeting its ambitious industry goals.
